Here is a little about my JOURNEY to a healthier ME!

I started a diet and the gym on June 1, 2011. My motivation was a trip that my husband and I took to Tennessee and North Carolina on our Harley. There were some beautiful waterfalls , and most of them you had to hike up the steep hills and mountains to see. I found that I was in terriable shape, and a lot of the times I would stay at the bottom of the trail waiting on my husband and friends to return with pic's and stories of the waterfalls, and all that they had seen. My heart would be pumping so hard in my ears, that it almost seemed that everyone else could hear it as well. I told myself right then, that after our arrival back home, I was going to get in shape and loose some weight....and that by next year I would be ready for another trip...........I would enjoy it to the fullest.

Another Bike Trip this past weekend.







I know this blog is about Dieting and Staying healthy.....but what better way to stay on track then to go and have some good times. We went with friends up into Il and KY...we had a great time and stayed at a real neat little Bed and Breakfast. We had Dinner at Patti's Restaurant...it was GREAT! I dont feel like I went over my calories for the day, Steve and I shared a Spinich Salad, a 2 inch Pork Chop (which they are noted for) and a baked potato....the only thing was that we had a little baked bread. They bake the bread and serve it in these little clay pots. Oh...and I forgot..the 4 of us shared a dessert....but that is better than eating the entire thing by yourself. We managed to get in a little excercise also, walking to a cave, and down the pier, and climbling on the Rocks at the Garden of the Gods.
